This page is dedicated to playwrights, producers, etc wishing to submit scripts to Celebration Theatre's new play reading and development series, Celebrating New Works.

What Is "Celebrating New Works" (CNW)?
CNW is Celebration Theatre's long-running new play reading series, designed to aim a light on new and emerging voices within the LGBTQ+ community, and the stories about/for them. Originally produced as a showcase series in partnership with the City of West Hollywood, CA, in 2021 Celebration transitioned CNW to an independent program designed at uplifting and developing new playwrights and new stories.
Before You Submit
Works being considered for CNW should:
- not already have a professional production to its name
- be submitted in PDF format (please submit most current draft)
- include a one-page synopsis, 3-5 pages of sample dialogue, a brief playwright bio with contact information, and any pertinent development history
Please do not re-submit your work. Celebration Theatre will review all materials sent to us and will reach out to discuss further if we believe the work meets our mission's need. Thank you for your interest in what we do and for sharing your work with us.
