Kevin MacLellan

Kevin MacLellan is an executive with over 25 years experience in Global Media and Entertainment. Most recently he served as Chairman of Global Distribution and International Media at NBCUniversal, where he sat on the CEO’s Executive Committee and was responsible for delivering over $5 Billion a year in revenue and controlling nearly $1 Billion a year in operating expenses. At NBCU he managed 2,500 employees in 36 countries across 4 primary business lines: Global Sales and Distribution, International TV & Film Production, International Streaming Services, and International Television Channels.

During his tenure, Mr. MacLellan managed a portfolio of 120,000 TV episodes, 4,500 feature films, 350+ hours a year of original TV and film production, 65 Television Networks, and 9 International Streaming Services . He also managed innumerable licensing, advertising, and affiliate distribution deals with the worlds largest Content and Distribution businesses, such as Netflix, Amazon, Google, Apple, Warner Discovery, Viacom, Sky, and all of the worlds largest Pay TV platforms and Free TV Networks.

Mr. MacLellan ran 8 separate production companies in 4 countries producing over 350 hours a year in 8 languages. He helped to develop, and he financed and green-lit multiple award winning shows, such as "Downton Abbey", "Hanna", "The Last Kingdom", and "Belgravia".

Mr. MacLellan completely restructured the international businesses for NBCU, combining numerous divisions from Universal, NBC, and GE into one cohesive unit. In the process, he reduced structural and operational costs and managed to more than double the revenues and profits for his division.

In addition, Mr. MacLellan managed the Business Development and M&A functions for NBCUniversal outside of the United States. He played a key role in the $40B acquisition of Sky Media, Europe's leading direct to consumer and media company, as well as numerous channels and production companies worldwide.

Mr. MacLellan also managed NBCU’s key administrative functions for the International Division, such as Finance, Legal, Corporate Governance, HR, Government Affairs, Technology, Corporate Communications, and Real Estate.

Prior to joining Comcast/NBCUniversal in 2001, Mr. MacLellan held senior roles at Sony Pictures and HBO. He began his career working in production, scheduling, and research for MTV Studios, Nickelodeon, and Comedy Central.

Mr. MacLellan currently lives in LA with his husband of 25+ years and their two wonderful sons, who bring them joy every day.
