The patriarchy welcomed shame into our existence. These Indigenous solo performers—Two Spirit\, Queer\, TransFemme\, and Pan—refuse the colonizer narrative\, sharing vivid stories comparing La Virgen to Malinche to Frida Kahlo as society’s confusion between Indigenous and Catholic figures\, discovering queerness while performing mission work with the Presbyterian church\, claiming the power to declare pronouns\, and finding joy in exploring gender transition to ultimately celebrate being Two Spirit. Drag has allowed her to perform\, write\, and educate people on drag history. She currently helps produce a monthly show\, Queer as Punk\, as well as a yearly variety show\, Pocha\, with her siblings. \n  \n\n\nSamantha Bowling (she/her) is a comedian and storyteller from Cincinnati\, OH. Her solo show\, This Was Never Supposed To Be A One Woman Show: A One Woman Show!  premieres January 2022 in Los Angeles. Find her on Instagram at @theSamanthaBowling for information on upcoming shows. \n  \n\n\nHonokee Dunn (they/them) lives in Oklahoma City\, Oklahoma. They have played "Cheshire Cat" from Alice in Wonderland\, "Willy Wonka" from Charlie and the Chocolate Factory\, and "Sandra King" from Round Dance. They plan to attend CSU Los Angeles to study theatre and American Sign Language. \n  \n\n\nCarolina Hoyos (she/they) is an Afro-Indigenous (Quechua-Kichwa) actor\, playwright\, director\, songwriter and voice artist. 2021 highlights include Macbeth\, Comedy of Errors and Romeo & Juliet with Black Girls Luv The Bard\, The Bowels at Women’s Theatre Festival\, an #MMIW solo piece for It’s Personal and voicing for HBO and H.P. Lovecraft Historical Society. Film/TV credits include "MTV Hits"\, "Too Old To Die Young" and Austin Film Festival winner Blackwater.
